Hotel Diana & Depandance - Lucca

Couple seeking comfort

We really enjoyed the local pastries at the bakery across from the hotel the coffee was just right for waking up. The decor was nice and we seemed like we had just the right amount of space in our room to feel cozy and free at the same time.

It wasn't exactly a steal but still acceptable for what we got.

Good small and modest hotel, we liked it.

Everything was perfect and the staff was attentive. We got a room with bidet. The bed was very comfy with hypo-allergenic pillows.

Location & cleanliness. It is a good standard for a 2 star hotel. Bathroom is new and room was clean. It is in a nice quiet, yet central part of Lucca, and a short walk from the wall.

Wished there was a coffee maker in the room!!! Reception closing at 8pm limit evening assistance!!! Extra blankets would be a nice touch for chilly nights.

Rooms with fridge had a unique atmosphere. Walk from a train station, the location was charming and brilliant. There were main shopping street and a shopping street around the hotel...

The room was comfortable and the air conditioning invaluable during the record breaking hot weather which was being experienced in Italy. The location cannot be faulted. We were in the annex which is just around the corner from the Duomo, and very close to several restaurants and the bar where we had breakfast both days.

The Reception staff only speak Italian. I am sure this can be a problem for some visitors.

Cozy room, but the bathroom could really use some updates.

Good location, great size of room. No breakfast available even though it was advertised in advert. Seemed a bit expensive.

Fairly friendly staff, but spoke no English, which doesnt always make your stay easier

The hotel was high quality and clean, overlooked street. The personnel were really helpful and competent and gave us loads of advice. We got a nicely decorated room with a nice looking bathroom.

The hotel provided a great recommendation for a local restaurant, Da Rosolo, a good dining experience.

The breakfast buffet was crowded due to a conference, which left us unable to enjoy it .

We had a perfect stay in this very pleasant little hotel right in the middle of the city, just round the corner from the cathedral and only a short walk from the railway station. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with newly fitted bathroom. Staff were pleasant and helpful, (though they mostly didn't speak much English) but went out of their way to be hospitable - on our first night the man in reception suggested places to eat which all turned out to be excellent. Hotel Diana is superb value for its location and we found the lack of breakfast a benefit as it allowed us to sample different (and cheap) options at nearby bars over the course of our stay. We'll definitely go back.

Staff were unpleasant and unhelpful to the point of being rude.

The location was fantastic, just inside the city walls. My room was cozy with good air conditioning and a great breakfast. The staff helped me with everything I needed, even late at night. Super friendly and respectful 👌.

The hotel was cozy, comfortable and clean in an excellent location. Great value!

Neighbouring properties share the common courtyard, which made sleep difficult when they were outside.

The hotel was so well placed to explore Lucca which is the most beautiful city. It was clean, comfortable, far larger than we had expected and fantastic value for money. We stayed in the annex rather than in the mainhotel so I can only comment for the annex rooms - perfect!

Nothing! It was fabulous. In fact we have said that if we went again we would base ourselves at this hotel & travel by train to Pisa & Florence
